You can do things such as four wheel driving along the surf beaches, go camping, do tours to nearby Fraser Island, join a yacht charter, go bush walking through Cooloola National Park, go horse riding, join a fishing charter, go sailing for the day or swim with dolphins. Other activities include sky diving, parasailing, boom netting, surfing and sand tobogganing. So now you can start to understand why so many backpackers always make a point of calling into magical Rainbow Beach. Whether you are the relaxing type or someone that loves to get out and about, then Rainbow Beach is the perfect place for you! You can take a day trip to World Heritage listed Fraser Island which always comes highly recommended, or visit the coloured sands and Double Island Point, both just moments away from the town centre. You may want to try surfing along beautiful Rainbow Beach or embark on a Whale Watching tour or go and feed the dolphins. Rainbow Beach is a beautiful slice of paradise that serves up nature’s best when it comes to rainforest walks, camel treks and horse riding along the pristine beach, as well as fishing, sailing, wind surfing, scuba diving, bowls, tennis and golf. Rainbow Beach is accessible by or daily commercial flights to Fraser Coast Airport and Maroochydore Airport with one and a half hour coach drive to Rainbow Beach or by air with scenic 25 minute connecting flight from Noosa, Maroochydore or Brisbane.
